Testimonials
Manos’ contribution to the business section of the Fast Track to Innovation (FTI) H2020 proposal ” Pilot line production of transceiver modules for the next generation of smart RF power applications- SMARTEC” was instrumental towards being awarded the contract by the European Commission. SMARTEC is a collaboration between FORTH, Thales SA and three European SMEs. At FORTH, we have entrusted Manos with the task to guide us from the pilot line phase to a full corporate entity. The project has faced challenges and delays due to the pandemic but Manos has managed to generate a clear roadmap ahead which has been very positively acknowledged both by the participating companies including Thales as well as from the reviewing mechanism of the European Commission.

I met Manos few years ago when I moved to Crete to work at FORTH and we particularly interacted a lot during the period that I was holding my Individual Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship (PRIME). During this period, an application for a patent at the Hellenic Industrial Property Organization was submitted through FORTH, the host institution, with me and a colleague as the co-inventors. Manos through his relative experience offered very fruitful support during the preparation of this patent application. He explained to me the proper way of submitting the application i.e. how one should express the claims and also helped me a lot with the prior art search so to be able to highlight the innovation of the idea. The diploma was finally awarded having only comments of A-type.
I have to say Manos holds a diverse set of numerous skills ranging from strong background in physics to experience with working in international environment and also deep understanding of the IP-related rules and regulations. I would say he can follow any domain of novel technologies and to definitely support somebody to exploit an innovative idea.
